If you hit somebody hard enough, they will give up, you can feel their body go limp and they'll just surrender...
This is something I am definately hoping to see a little bit of this weekend as there are a number of great matchups that should provide some big hitting. Plus since the Giants don't play this weekend, I had to find a new way to take interest in many other games for a different reason. This quote comes from Bob Sanders, who I hope to see do a little work in the biggest regular season game in a very long time. Last week I went 9-4 in picks putting me at 75-41 and 8-5 against the spread, but remain 50-59-7 on the year. And down 5 bucks...even though I could be even because of a certain bet widukind and I made.
Predictions:
Sunday November 4:
Redskins, Redskins -4 over Jets. The Jets are really bad, and I like the point Bill Simmons made that the Redskins should be really mad at the Jets for causing the Pats to fuck them last week. One game I have interest in.
Packers, Packers +2 over Chiefs. I am not buying into the short week long week concept. I think the Pack are the better team and should win. A game I am interested in.
Cardinals, Cardinals +3 1/2 over Bucs. I see the Bucs sliding big time over the next few weeks. I don't know why, but I think there gonna have a rough end to the season.
Titans, Titans -4 over Panthers. I hope by the end of this game the traveling Panthers fans get a "We Want Vinny Chant" going.
49ers, Niners +3 1/2 over Falcons. This makes three Niners picks in three weeks, I have been wrong the first two times. If they lose this game they are really really really bad. Plus Niners fans have two more reasons for being mad: Frank Gore might not play, and their first-round draft pick belongs to the Pats. A game I have interest in.
Saints, Saints -3 1/2 over Jags. Quinn Grey will not win back-to-back games. Plus the Saints are starting to put it together. Another game I will be checking on.
Broncos, Broncos +3 over Lions. Are the Lions really as good as the Broncos? I really don't think so. I will be checking on this game as well.
Bills, Bills +1 over Bengals. When in doubt bet on the home underdog. Especially when the away team has been horribly disappointing.
Chargers, Chargers -7 over Vikings. Come on Chargers, keep doing work and putting up big points. A game I have lots of interest in.
Browns, Browns -1 1/2 over Seahawks. The NFC West is the worst division in football. This will be made more clear when the Browns smoke the Seahawks.
Pats, Pats -6 over Colts. Unbelievable matchup. The next two weeks of football are gonna be great: Pats-Colts, Eagles-Cowboys, Giants-Cowboys, Chargers-Colts + some other decent matchups. Big interest in this one as well.
Texans, Texans +3 over Raiders. It's weird being on the East Coast because I have no idea what's going on in Raider Nation. Their record, starters, opponents...I have no idea about any of these things. Please fill me in.
Eagles, Eagles +3 over Cowboys. The Eagles always find a way to steal one from the Cowboys. Plus I think they'll be playing hard for Andy Reid who has had a worse week than just about anybody.
Steelers, Steelers -10 over Ravens. Never did I think that the Ravens would be getting 10 points this year unless it was against the Colts or Pats.
If all works well, this could be a very good week of football.
