They Call Him Killa for a reason...

I saw this article on drudgreport.com (the site is linked through the blog) and I had to put this up. It seems like Killa Cam's name has taken on a new meaning. The headline is PLATINUM SELLING RAPPER TELLS '60 MINUTES': WOULDN'T HELP POLICE CATCH EVEN A SERIAL KILLER BECAUSE IT WOULD HURT HIS BUSINESS AND VIOLATE HIS 'CODE OF ETHICS' . Once you don't turn in a serial killer do you even have a code of ethics. What fits in that code of ethics? honestly am speechless.

On a seperate Cam'ron note check out the Cam'Ron rhymebook found on Oh Word. That shit is priceless.

I dunno. I'm going to try and see it from his point of view, only because I saw a video of him on YouTube going head-to-head with Bill O'Fucklly which was pretty funny.
First off, I don't really think Cam is considering an actual "serial killer" (Zodiac, BTK, whatever) living next door. Secondly, it's pretty obvious Cam comes from a completely different world than ours. Does that mean he can carry a completely set of ethics? I don't know...
Our only semi-real connection to the hood is through The Wire (which is semi-legit simply because it's been acknowledged for being a fairly accurate show). And in The Wire, what happens to a snitch? "Snitch-bitch" is what happens.
I know it's sad and unforunate, but in the hood, turf wars, gang shootings, etc., are more "accepted" activities than someone snitching to the pigs.
We don't agree with Cam, but then again...we're not Cam, and we have no idea what his life has been like.

Just a thought. Maybe "HomelessNigg" has something to say?

The only reason Cam is on 60 minutes is to sell records. As far as I'm concerned, he can say anything he wants--but, it seems pretty obvious that Killa's "ethics" are more motivated by cash flow than staying true to the hood. Suburban white kids don't want a "snitch-bitch" either.
