:) (Rant of an Elated and Exhausted Giants Fan #4)
Rich Seubert: Wow Tiki you are fucking pussy quitter bitch, how do you feel?
Wow. The most amazing and nerve racking experience of my life. Fuck the Pats. Fuck Bill Simmons. Fuck Bill Belicheck. Fuck Tom Brady. No more undefeated. No more Eli Manning garbage talk. That win was for all the Giants fans, all of New York, but much more importantly and this encompasses all of you, that win was for everyone who wanted to see the fucking empire go down.
I wish I had more insightful stuff to say and maybe at some point I will but I'll try to put some of my ideas out there. Eli Manning = greater than Big Ben. Eli Manning = no more pussy talk, no more anything talk because he was the only motherfucking quarterback who could beat the motherfucking evil Pats this whole year. Justin Tuck = monster. Spags = genius. I'm sure we're gonna lose him to the fucking Skins now, but honestly, Coughlin should retire and he should be head coach. Michael Strahan = you deserve to go out on top. Plaxico Burress = you don't show up and then you fucking torch them for the big 6. David Tyree = people are gonna know your name now son. Ahmad Bradshaw = one of the biggest plays in getting that fumble back. Kevin Boss = to quote Widukind: "Shockey who?" Tom Brady = I hope you end up with Gisele on the stage of Metal Skool. Tony Romo = homo.
Much love. I love you all. I love the Giants. I love New York. I might try to go down to the parade. I love all my boys for rooting for the Giants, no lie we couldn't have done it without all you guys supporting us tonight. For real I mean that. SUPER BOWL CHAMPS 2008 NEW YORK GIANTS BABY!!!
Out like Tom Brady, Bill Belicheck, perfection, and Tiki Motherfucking Pussy Barber.
Edit: The thing I want to get across most and I am just realizing it is that I am so happy for everyone. I am so so so happy for Eli Manning cause the New York media will never have anything to say against him again. I am so happy for David Tyree, the 4th wide receiver who gets no love and whose mother died. I am so happy for everyone else that's what feels best. I am so so happy.

A great night not only for sports, but for mankind. This is America. This, is our country.
Considering I was shaking for the last 1/2 hour of the game, I have no idea how hungryfortacos must have felt. Incredible.
Here are my thoughts:
1) Eli's scramble followed by Tyree's unbelievable grab is possibly the greatest sequence (especially regarding circumstances) I have ever seen live. I remember the Catch II, and I was in Oakland for the infamous Giambi no-slide, but the Eli play was something else. The amount of weight that has lain on Eli's shoulders from day one was all eliminated on a play that can be defined with no other word other than gutsy. The Superbowl is something all quarterbacks are judged on, but on top of that, pretty much all of the greats have their defining moment. Elway's scramble, Montana to Clark, Brady beating the Rams, Flutie's Hail Mary, Young's famous "take the monkey off my back" quote...the list goes on. That play will define Eli's career, you can be sure of it.
2) Could this be the end of the Patriots as we know them? Moss can say what he wants, but money is money, and there are alot of teams out there that would love his services. Stallworth is too talented for how much he plays, Samuel is a free agent, the linebackers are way too old...and Tom Brady just got beat by ELI
FUCKING MANNING. FUCK ME. I MEAN, WHAT THE HELL, DID THAT ACTUALLY JUST HAPPEN?
3) As hungryfortacos said, Spags is a genius and Coughlin should retire. Everyone, including myself and hungryfortacos, knocked Coughlin incessantly for years. However, a kid on my hall was doing some research tonight, and made a very astute point: other than a hot Vikings team, the Giants beat EVERY SINGLE TEAM on their schedule. On top of that, other than when they beat the Redskins week 3 and lost to them later in week 15, the Giants beat all of those teams after previously losing to them (Packers, Cowboys twice, and the Patriots). They won an unprecedented 11 games in a row on the road. This was, and still is, a very good football team, and I think the stat I just brought up says an immense amount about Coughlin, Spags, and the rest of the coaching staff. Now, banking on some shrewd offseason moves (signing Samuel, anyone?), and with the city of New York now officially behind Eli Manning, I have a very hard time seeing this team experiencing the dreaded post-Super Bowl funk.
I said to hungryfortacos that if the G-Men got rid of Shockey, they would have my full, un-hindered support. Right now, they're pretty damn close.
I would say I can sleep easy tonight knowing Boston was denied another championship, but I have a feeling I'm hardly going to sleep at all.
In like Eli.
Oh yeah and I forgot: we all just watched one of the greatest sporting events of all-time. I guarantee it.
I'm in discussion right now.
first this:
""They were so relaxed at the end when we were driving down it was unbelievable, like ho-hum, they're going to give it to us and we didn't give them anything," said receiver Amani Toomer, a champion after 12 seasons with the Giants. "During the drive [defensive end] Richard Seymour said to us 'Get ready to go home guys.' I don't care what they say, they were expecting us to crack. We're a tough team in a tough city and that's what we represent.""
