here is no valid reason why any unlawful substance would be in my urine..
(much love Osi)
Travis Henry is the man. No lie. Nothing more needs to be said, but he is a good bet for the quote each week. Since I got two games tommorow, this is what my friday night looks like so let's get the picks going. Last week was quite possibly my strongest performance to date as I went 10-4 in my picks and 10-4 with the spread (ballin) putting me at 39-23 and 27-32-3 respectively. I feel another big week in the works...
Panthers @ Saints
Two very very disappointing teams. Delhomme might not be playing, but the Saints have been horrible all year. I mean horrible. After the bye week though, I like them to get their first week. They should be able to beat a putrid Panthers team on their home turf. End of story. This team has gone from fantasy football darling to ruiner. I have Colston, it sucks.
Saints, Saints -3 1/2
Jags @ Chiefs
I think I picked Maurice Jones-Drew in the second or third round of one of my two leagues. That worked real well. I am happy to say that I don't have a single Chief. And with that, I predict a Jags victory.
Jags, Jags -2
Lions @ Redskins
This pick I am making solely with my heart. I honestly think that the Redskins are gonna win, but am picking the Lions just cause I hate the Skins so much and if the Giants win and Skins lose, the Giants are in second. So let's go John Kitna and God. That article in ESPN creeped the shit out of me.
Lions, Lions +3 1/2
Falcons @ Titans
The Falcons cannot go 3-2. They just simply cannot. Not with Joey Harrington at QB. (I just came back to this and realized they are 1-3. I'm retarded). The one thing that worries me about Vince Young for some reason (I don't know what or why) is I feel he is a player prone to injury with all his running and stuff. How this relates to this game I don't know. Just a thought. Maybe its cause he's on the Madden cover.
Titans, Falcons +8 1/2
Dolphins @ Texans
I'm sticking with the Texans, my sleeper team pick from the two or three division I covered this offseason. It's funny, if they weren't playing in the AFC South (Jags, Colts, Titans) they would have a chance of being a playoff team. But in that division I can't see it happen. They should beat a bad bad Dolphins team.
Texans, Texans -6
Seahawks @ Steelers
I picked the Cards upset of the Steelers last weekend, and I am riding the upset bandwagon this week in taking the Seahawks. These teams are super even, they are on very comparable terms at this point but I think the Seahawks pull this one out. Just calling this one on my gut feeling.
Seahawks, Seahawks +6 1/2
Pats @ Browns
Another win, another week of talk about the Pats going undefeated. Shoot me now. I swear I'm gonna assasinate Tedy Bruschi and Mike Vrabel by week 10. That being said...
Pats, Browns +17 (their first no cover of the year)
Cards @ Rams
Gus Ferotte is not the answer. I think it was John who picked him up in fantasy. If he does well and they win, I'll never call you emo again. Maybe.
Cards, Cards -3 1/2
Jets @ Giants
The Giants schedule over the next 4 weeks: home to the Jets, @ Falcons, Home to Niners, @ Miami. If were not 5-3 after that stretch Coughlin should be gone. No offense to the Niners, but I am so far from scared of then now, and the other 3 teams have 2 wins between them.
Giants, Giants -4
Bucs @ Colts
What is going on with the Bucs, I never saw this coming. That being said, the loss of Cadillac will hurt and set them back aways. The Colts should move on to 5-0.
Colts, Colts -10
Chargers @ Broncos
To some extent, maybe (key word maybe) the two most disappointing teams this year. Definately the Chargers. This is by far the hardest game of the week to pick (judging by the pick line), and I can't see either of these teams at under .500. That being said, I'm going with the Broncos solely cause their at home. That's it.
Broncos, Broncos (pick)
Ravens @ Niners
Trent Dilfer is not the answer for 3 maybe 4+ weeks. Something needs to be done. I would put 9 men in the box every play if I was the Ravens. Sorry, but I think this one could get real ugly.
Ravens, Ravens -3 1/2
Bears @ Packers
The Brett Favre story has to end at some point right? Right? I say this week it does. This team is not 4-0 good, and the Bears need to prove they see themselves as the #1 team in this divison. They don't win this game, they're looking at #3.
Bears, Bears +3 1/2
Cowboys @ Bills
Combined record of Cowboys opponents thus far 3-13. That 4-0 means very little thus far. The scary thing is, they play the Pats and then no one else all that good. They could and should honestly finish around 14-2 or even 15-1. If they pull the upset and beat the Pats all they have to beat really is the Packers and Lions and Giants on the road. It would kill me if they went undefeated. But I'm getting waaaaay ahead of myself.
Cowboys, Boys -11
Geckobot comes to town tommorow...

You're getting better at this (writing), but you're still no Bill Simmons (don't cry).
I think the Pats cover, I like the Pack, and I agree, John what the fuck?
Oh and here's a funny little anecdote. Last night this girl I hang out with had two friends from her high school visit. They went and smoked after drinking for a while, and one girl who's only smoked once before got FUCKED. She came in the room and lay down and said her "heart was bracing". Then she puked or something and started crying. Nice.

no that was me I entered it before I finished. the John comment was in reference to him picking up frerotte.
