Recent Acquisitions:

I have been on a couple of blogs over the past couple of weeks and have heard a lot of praise from these two albums. The Murs and 9th Wonder album "Murray's Revenge" is really good. I love in the first couple of tracks how Murs raps about the content of his rhymes and how he isn't a "backpacker" which is being said about him because he doesn't rap about guns and drugs and shit. I need to give a closer listen to get a good feel for 9th Wonder, but he is doing a collaboration with Murs, which is saying something. The second album is Camp Lo's "Fort Apache, The Mixtape Album". Camp Lo is a rap duo from The Bronx, consisting of Sonny Cheeba and Geechi Suede. This record is more of a variety show of pretty funky beats and some catch phraises like "52". Some key listens would be "82 Afros", "Suga Willie's Revenge", and "Lo Lean". It is something a little different I think, and the cover is pretty cool/it might be super racist. Enjoy...
