Self-Help 101...

So I have been spending much of the last few days thinking on what I was going to do with my next blog post. At this point in my life, I have very little else to do. Since I can't upload music, due to the combination of not having any music on my mom's computer and the fact that i cannot access any website that requires me to sign in on my own computer and the fact that I can't post videos, I realized I needed to bring something completly new to the blog.

What I came up with was the Self-Help section. This probably won't ever take off, and this will probably be my only post on the subject, but at this point it strikes me as very logical. This section will be dedicated to assistance of any kind. Simply post your problem or issue or question or theory, and hopefully, one or some or all of the people who look at this blog will respond.

To get this started I will post the first self-help corner question. Since we've all been playing so much basketball and other sports lately, I have gotten some really bad blisters. Really bad blisters. So my question is, what do people normally do when they get blisters. I am a big fan of wearing double socks and Johnson and Johnson blister band-aids. After that, I am kind of a nubtard (that's right, I just made that up). I know some people use powders and shit, but what are the treatements that other people use?

May the force be with you...

Alex-I feel you. This is actually a funny story; in 7th grade, I forgot my cleats to a soccer game, so I borrowed Condoleeza's ugly-ass red shoes. They were so fucking small, that I had really bad blisters for weeks. I used those advanced band-aid things, "second-skin" or some shit like that, but I found that they would get bunched up in my socks. I have two tips for you:
1) Try this stuff called moleskin. Its a thin piece of fabric with an adhesive side, and you're supposed to cut out little hollow circles (like an "O" shape) and place them on the blister. This should reduce friction.
2) Don't double up on socks. Friction is what causes blisters, and by adding another set of footies, you're only increasing the risk of contracting blisters. Think of it like doubling up on connies when you're trying to prevent getting genital herpes. Not only do the two socks rub together, but they will also make the shoe tighter on your foot.

If those don't help, change shoes.

Yeah Mikel is right. But, in the future, I have found that the tighter you tie your laces the less blisters you get.

In terms of the self-help section, it could work but I think currently we don't allow anonymous comments on our blog. So, the only people who can comment are other bloggers. But maybe we can make it so anonymous comments are allowed I could see it working.
