Mmm, yeah...

Samir gets down hella hard!

I was watching this on the T.V. the other day, and I realized that aside from being a great film, one could make the argument that Office Space has the greatest soundtrack. Ever. Period.

Still - Geto Boys

Damn it Feels Good to Be a Gangster - Geto Boys

Shove this Jay-Oh-Bee - Canibus

Get Off My Elevator - Kool Keith

Down For Whatever - Ice Cube

No Tears - Scarface

All songs are highly recommended, if you don't have them already.

Here's a bonus track that you must own:

Get 'em Girls - Cam'ron

Just finishing this bibliography...I can hear the fat lady warming up next door.

RIP Eugen Weber

First Diego Corrales, now this?

The best part of MEH is dead. Shit.

Watch his excellent, enthralling, series "The Western Tradition" here.

Eugen, we hardly knew ye.

You think there would be some let up...

I don't know how long this link is going to be up, so I am going to post this album before I have listened to it, but it is a Weezy mixtape put together by DJ Benzi that features the voices and remixing talents of Timbaland, the Neptunes, Clipse, Diplo, A-Trak, Ghislain Poirier, Nick Catchdubs, Jay-Z, Devin the Dude, and Bun B. Here is a link to the Pitchforkmedia article.

Practice, We Talking About Practice...

Following my trend for liking commercials, here is the new best commercial out right now. I didn't realize it but there are a bunch of famous people in it. Look out for Thierry Henry and Sloan from Entourage running together, skateboarder Stevie Williams, and Chad Johnson running with DeAngelo Hall (I had to look the last three up).

I would normally just file a complaint...

This is a clip taken from a camera in a train station a Buenos Aires. These commuters are rioting due to their dismay with late trains. I saw this on drudge and couldn't resist.

A guy actually sets a fire in a doorway.

WAIT ONE SECOND

Have I been seeing some posts with videos and very few words. OMG, I don't think that the NY Times allows silly videos without lengthy explanations and wordy riddles to explain everything, Juan Feesh I am disappointed.
Speaking of silly stuff heres a video.

Zombie...

There's a reason that I have been saying the American version of the Office is now better than Entourage. This should explain why.

R.I.P. Diego Corrales

So I just read this a second ago and wanted to put it up on the blog. "Former two-division world champion Diego "Chico" Corrales, who lived as hard as he fought, died in a mororcycle crash Monday night in Las Vegas...Corrales, 29, will be remembered as one of the fiercest fighters of his era, a never-say-die warrior who thrilled legions of fans with several action-packed fights." Straight up this guy was a fucking soldier. He's the guy who went the distance with Pretty Boy despite being knocked down 5 times. For those of you who don't know him, I am putting up the youtube clip of him vs. Castillo (it might have been up here earlier) from a few years back where he gets knocked down twice but rebounds to win by KO. It is considered one of the best fights in recent history and has the best round in recent history. I remember really being pumped for Castillo-Corrales 3 but it never got made cause one of them didn't make weight. Boxing lost one of its toughest guys today.

Clean up man...

So this is about a month late, but I've been super busy...(???).

Anyways, after me and DJ Hart's trip to Mejico (with an unforgettable guest-appearence from Juanfeesh), I picked up a copy of XXL in the airport. In it were a couple of interesting articles; the main event being an interview with Young Buck a.k.a. "Clean Up Man", who's new album Buck the World was being waited on with much anticipation, given the recent shots taken at G-Unot (see previous post...Interestingly, there was also an article about a really shitty show The Game put on in Orlando). He talked on the typical stuff, mainly 50's beef with Cam and Game, but the highlight was him talking about the '04 Vibe Awards, where Jimmy James Johnson started swinging at none other than Dr. Dre, after Doc declined to give an autograph. So Buck Marley stabbed the dude in the chest.

"XXL: Looking back, would you have done the same thing again?
Buck: I'd do it again. If I had to repeat it twice, I would do it over and over again, bruh. But what I would do different is get a sharper knife."

Who the fuck goes after Dre? WTFOMG SUX0R!!11eleven!

Anyways, Buck the World is OK. In some songs it's pretty obvious he's pissed off and it works, but there's simply too many slow tracks for my taste. Weird combo.

Buss Yo Head

Get Buck

My two favorite songs off the album.

Synagogue.

BOXING IS STILL SEARCHING

The Mayweather vs De la Hoya fight was supposed to save boxing, and I think that everyone there realized that, these were not the fighters to make boxing's turn around. I was then thinking what all of us wanted to see was a knock out. So I figured I would show a video of the Boxer with the best Fights to Knockout ratio ever. Mike Tyson aka Kid Dynamite.. This is the type of fighter boxing needs

G-G-G-Unot (DJ Hart Mixtape Series Vol. 2)

This was supposed to be #3 in the mixtape series but John put up Da Drought III before I could get around to it. I have descovered slowly that not too many artists really use the mixtape to put new shit out (except of Weezy, who seems to put out a mix-tape every week) so it takes a little while to find a mixtape with any clout. Here, we have the new Game mixtape, You Know What It Is, Vol. 4. After going over the CD with a brief listen the whole CD is actually pretty hot; Game brings it real hard on this one. While it doesn't feature any real big time diss tracks to G-Unit (the song Body Bags kinda is one, but not in the league of 300, 240, or 120 bars) it really seems to me that G-Unit is kinda dead. I don't know if people have an opinion on this, but there seems to be no hot Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, or Tony Gayo songs on the radio or anything anymore. Is it possible to say that Game's G-Unot campaign worked? I think we'll have to see what happens when 50's new CD (titled something about CUUUURTTISS) drops.

Anyway here it is:
Get Game-Time

P.S. I have downloaded some other mix-tapes for the next few days. As tempted as I am to make this a Lil' Wayne homage-shrine type deal by putting up all his mixtapes, I'd rather put up tapes from a collection of different sets. Be on the lookout.
